We would like to inform the community about an unfortunate incident involving one of our lead mentors. We are seeking support and any donations that would help make a difference!
One of our lead mentors of the media justice program, Josh Mike-Bidtah, was getting gas at the Speedway on Coors and Central and was brutally mugged by a group of individuals. They physically attacked him, and forcibly took his personal camera which was a Nikon D850, as well as film equipment that belonged to the program. The extent of the stolen items includes: a Sony A7ii, a 24mm lens, a 50mm lens, and a 85mm lens, a Tascam DR-10L Lavalier microphone (belonging to the program director, John Acosta), and a Sony A7Rii with a 24-105MM G-Master Lens (also belonging to John Acosta). Additionally, various drives, lights, and sound equipment belonging to Josh were also taken. The primary goal is to raise $10,000 to replace the stolen camera equipment and related gear that belonged to members of the programming team, Josh Mike-Bidtah and John Acosta. With your generous contribution, we can ensure that their equipment is replaced and that our young participants don’t miss out on the invaluable opportunity to develop their skills and make a positive impact on our community. Please help spread the word and support us by donating!
