New Mexico's Youth are the Solution

New Mexico is ranked 50^th in the Nation for child well-being, and to reverse this trend we need to implement positive solutions. Some lawmakers want to criminalize children and families for the failures of our leadership. New Mexico’s children and young people –our kids – are the solution, not the problem. It is time for them to lead…

Together we can realize our vision of a healthy environment for our children:

· Creating alternatives to punitive punishments.

· Investing in the overall health and well-being of children.

· Engaging parents and students to create partnerships with teachers and families.

New Mexico needs to move in a new direction. We can’t continue to make our youth pay the price for our failures in leadership. Let’s bring our young people to the table to find solutions. Let's be proactive and preventative and empower our youth to lead us into New Mexico’s future.
