I demand justice for the women who were murdered and later found on the West Mesa of Albuquerque, and I demand recognition of the violence that is claiming far too many of our women. The murders of over 11 young Xicana, Native and African American women found in a mass grave on the West Mesa of Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2009 are still unresolved. I support all action that will continue the investigation of these crimes, as well as the creation of a memorial installation to keep these women respected, remembered, and alive in spirit, and to give their families and communities hope and support.
